A Web Slug
Web Slugs are small black creatures that live in the Web. They're black in color, very flat, and only about four inches long. They don't appear to make any sounds.
Web Riders consider it a point of honor to eat a web slug live, to prove they are warriors. Many don't like to eat the little slugs, saying they wiggle all the way down.

While Bob was with the Riders he had to eat at least one slug, but couldn't stand them. Ray Tracer ate one when the Riders came aboard the Saucy Mare. Right after swallowing, he choked on it and fell over on the table. After a few seconds he jumped back up and was energized about the event. (Mousetrap)
