Brett Gannon

Brett Gannon was President of Mainframe Entertainment Inc and one of the Executives in charge of operations for ReBoot.

Gannon was a highly seasoned finance executive with more than 20 years in corporate finance within Canada, US and abroad. During these years he held various positions including CFO, Corporate Secretary, Director, Executive VP Finance, President and Chief Operating Officer. Brett was a member of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants.

Working as an executive producer in Mainframe Entertainment, Brett was promoted in September 2001 to prexy and chief operating officer of the computer animation studio, replacing Lou Novak, who resigned the post to serve as a consultant to the board of directors. In the 1999 restructuring move, the Vancouver-based company also had to let go of former-CEO and co-creator of ReBoot Ian Pearson as its chief creative officer.

Gannon served as Mainframe's senior business exec and chief financial officer, during the height of that financial year, employing over 300 staffers. All key management reported to him. During his career with Mainframe he supervised the production of other CGI shows "War Planets - Shadow Raiders", "Barbie as Rapunzel" (2002) and "Scary Godmother Halloween Spooktakular" (2003).

In March 2004 Brett Gannon left Mainframe and joined Xillix Technologies. Previously Gannon held the position as Financial Advisor where he participated in the Company's financing activities and was subsequently appointed to the position of Chief Financial Officer. Brett was appointed as Chief Operating Officer in May 2005 and was appointed the position of President and CEO in May 2006.

Sadly, Brett Gannon died in Vancouver on March 26, 2007 aged 47.

He is survived by his wife, Carole Nicholson, his mother, Lynne, and his daughters, Michele, Lyanne, Laura and Chloe.
